Wesley College is a leading coeducational, open-entry school. Established more than 150 years ago, the College has enriched the lives of thousands of students through its outstanding liberal, broad-based curriculum.

Wesley has three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne:

• Elsternwick, 3-year-olds to Year 9

• Glen Waverley, 3-year-olds to Year 12

• St Kilda Road, 3-year-olds to Year 12

 

Wesley is one of the top Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) schools in Australia, and one of the only schools in Victoria to offer the IB continuum from Primary through to Middle and Senior Schools. We provide a diverse breadth of subjects for students to choose from, including six languages.

VCE & IB Results

2020 Results

We extend our congratulations to our Class of 2020 students on their VCE and International Baccalaureate (IB) results. In 2020, 374 students completed their Year 12 studies; 56% of our Year 12 students studied the VCE, and 44% studied the IB DP.

 

At a glance:

*The IB DP median ATAR was 94.05.
*The Wesley combined median ATAR for VCE and IB DP was 86.40.
*Two Wesley students achieved the highest possible ATAR of 99.95.
*46% of Wesley students attained an ATAR of 90.00 and above, placing them in the top 10% of the equivalent Year 12 cohort in Australia.
*Almost two thirds of Wesley students (64%) achieved an ATAR of 80.00 and above, placing them in the top 20% of the equivalent Year 12 cohort in Australia.

Our 2020 College VCE Dux, Junxi (Kevin) Zhang, achieved an ATAR of 99.35. Our 2020 College joint IB DP Duces Grace Danielson and Matthew Hobbs each achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

 

2019 Results

We extend our congratulations to the Class of 2019 students who have received their results. We are extremely proud that our students continue Wesley's tradition of academic success and achieve excellence in all areas of learning. This reflects our commitment to developing the whole student, by providing a true education through the principles of learning — to know, to do, to live with and to be.

In 2019, 348 students completed their Year 12 studies. 59% of our Year 12 students studied the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), and 41% studied the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP).

Here are some highlights of their outstanding achievements:

  • The Wesley combined median ATAR for VCE and IB DP was 88.05
  • Three Wesley students achieved the highest possible ATAR of 99.95
  • 41% of Wesley students attained an ATAR of 90.00 and above, placing them in the top 10% of the equivalent Year 12 cohort in Australia
  • Two thirds of Wesley students (66%) achieved an ATAR of 80.00 and above, placing them in the top 20% of the equivalent Year 12 cohort in Australia
  • 147 perfect study/subject scores were attained across the VCE (VCE study score of 50) and IB DP (subject score of 7) cohorts
  • The combined percentage of VCE 40+ Study Scores and IB DP 6+ Subject Scores was 32%
  • 99% of students received a first round tertiary offer.

Scholarships

Wesley’s substantial scholarship provision provides opportunities for talented students who are enthusiastic to learn and reach their full potential.  

Each year, a wide range of scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also achievement in one or more of sport, music, performance, visual art, community service and leadership.

Wesley scholarships are offered on merit. The number and value of scholarships allocated is determined by the quality of applicants and the availability of places. Typically, scholarships are awarded as 50 per cent reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the student’s time at the College.
